documents settings no access

I want to clean up my Documents and Settings folder, but can gain no access. I am prompted to change security settings to get access. My login and Administrators have full access - so I should have access. If I try to make any change at all, I get denied access to change the settings.
Anyone else run into this?

I looked more closely. Documents and settings is a shortcut, not a folder ..... All the stuff that used to be there is now in the Users folder. Silly me should pay more attention :-)
